Beosystem 7000

Description

Last of the long running series, the Beosystem 7000 was also arguably the best. Again the improvements centred around the Beomaster 7000, which now included an RDS decoder which allowed station names to be displayed on a Beolink 7000 terminal. Text copyright © Beocentral. A new terminal, the Beo 4, was added to the range, and would of course work with Beosystem 7000. Though visually similar to the Beolink 5000, it was simpler, and despite having a display, it lacked two way communication. Text copyright © Beocentral. Unauthorised reproduction prohibited.

Recommended loudspeakers were the new Beolab Penta 3, again very similar to the Penta 2. Text copyright © Beocentral. Unauthorised reproduction prohibited.

As the time came to phase the range out, most 7000 systems were sold at an attractive price without a Beogram 7000 or Beolink 7000 terminal. Buyers had a choice of Beolink 5000 or 1000, for which they had to pay extra. Owners of these systems would have difficulty adding a Beogram 7000 or Beolink 7000 later: there are far more Beomaster 7000s in existence than Beogram 7000s. Text copyright © Beocentral.
