Beovision 9002
(1984-1986) 26” colour television, 1x14W, remote control, teletext, optional dual A/V interface
Description
The Beovision 9002 replaced the Beovision 9000. It was technically identical to the Beovision 8802. As a top-of-the-range luxury model, it was only right that a teletext decoder was fitted as standard. Text copyright © Beocentral. Unauthorised reproduction prohibited.
The Beovision 9002 was the last Beovision model to be offered with a sliding tambour door. The distinctive high quality cabinet had been offered in one form or another since before colour had been introduced but the popularity of televisions in such cabinets had waned by the time the Beovision 9002 was withdrawn. Interestingly, a few years after Beovision 9002 was discontinued, B&O in the UK offered similar fine furniture cabinets to house the Beovision LX range in, though the factory in Denmark never produced a proper cabinet version of this series.
