Beocenter 7000

Description

The first model in a large range of superb music centres. Offered perhaps as a more compact alternative to the very large Beosystem 8000 and 6000, all parts were of exceptional quality. The 40 watt amplifier was able to be played at high volume for extended periods, and the three sources could all provide the best possible signals. Text copyright © Beocentral. The tape deck featured an identical Vortex mechanism to the range-topping Beocord 8000, and could be programmed to wind to any counter reference that the user keyed in. Dolby B NR was of course included, and chromium dioxide tapes were automatically sensed and adjusted for. Text copyright © Beocentral. Unauthorised reproduction prohibited.

The turntable was mechanically the same as Beogram 1700, but with the same arm as Beogram 1902. An MMC 20 E pickup was fitted, and the deck included all the normal refinements such as pendulum suspension and fully automatic operation including record sizing. Text copyright © Beocentral. The radio used a similar “5+1” tuning system (five FM presets and one FM/MW/LW free tuning dial) as Beomaster 1900. The programs were selected on the main keypad on the control panel. This keypad in fact controlled all the basic functions of all sources, and also served as a means of entering settings for the built in clock and one event timer. The volume level at switch on was set with a slider control, and this determined the maximum level that that could be obtained with the Beocenter Control Module remote control. The remote control could also be used to select any of the six preset radio programs, start and stop the record player, start, stop, wind and record on the cassette and turn the machine off. Although not mentioned in the instructions, Beocenter 7000 was fully compatible with the Link 82 multiroom system, the big output being ideal for two pairs of loudspeakers. Text copyright © Beocentral. Unauthorised reproduction prohibited.
