Description

The Beovision 5002 was the last standard Beovision model to be offered without remote control. The preceding Beovision 5000 (along with the larger 7000 and 8000 models) had been based on the “full specification” version of the 33XX chassis and so had offered similar refinements to those of the Beovision 5500. The design of the Beovision 5002 recognised that a non-remote control set was likely to be a cost-conscious choice and so was based around the simplified feature set of the Beovision 5100. The latching pushbuttons and 12 programme choices were retained from the Beovision 5000. Text copyright © Beocentral. Unauthorised reproduction prohibited.

Despite the model number ending in “2”, the Beovision was still a 33XX series set. The “2” was used in other cases to signify models that used the new 77XX chassis. Text copyright © Beocentral. Unauthorised reproduction prohibited.

There were no larger screen variants of the Beovision 5002 and there is some evidence to suggest that this model was offered for sale in the UK only. Text copyright © Beocentral. Unauthorised reproduction prohibited.
