Beocenter 2100

The Beocenter 2100 in simple terms was the same as the Beocenter 4000 but had only one cassette deck. The deck which remained was the recording one, but auto reverse was not fitted, nor was the fully automatic tape selector, HX Pro or even the microphone mixer. The size of the cabinet was not reduced by removing so much equipment, and so a large space was left behind in the middle of the console, perhaps to remind the owner that they had bought in at very much the entry level. Devoid of B&O content, without interesting features and capable of only very moderate performance, the Beocenter 2100 had very little to recommend it. Potential customers would have been better advised to select one of the very nice models on offer by the major Japanese brands (Technics, Sony etc) for the same money or save up the extra and buy a Beomaster 2000 and Beocord 2000 instead.
