Beomaster Terminal

(1981-1986) Terminal for Beolab 6000

Type number: 2035

Description

An optional remote control terminal for the Beomaster 6000. Early Beomasters were not fitted with an IR receiver, so this would have to be bought and fitted before the terminal could be used. In use, the major functions of the whole system were available, including start/stop for the Beogram and basic control of one tape deck. The numbered volume keys were reduced in number, and only 10, 30 and 50 were included, though the normal up/down and mute functions were there too. There was also a key marked “EXT”, for controlling an external equaliser via Datalink through the pre-power amp loop, though suitable equipment was never offered. Text copyright © Beocentral.
