Beovision 2800

This set was a smaller version of the Beovision 3000, fitted with a 22” tube. The tube was of a new rectangular “push through” type which was easier to present and had squarer edges. By using a smaller tube, the Beovision 2800 could be made cheaper than the 3000, though it was still an expensive set. The cabinet, while still retaining the sliding door, was simper in design than that of the Beovision 3000. The loudspeaker was no longer under the screen but was placed on one side of the cabinet. A small “tweeter” loudspeaker was fitted above the user controls to make sure at least some of the sound still pointed at the viewer. Text copyright © Beocentral.
