Beovox 5702
(1972-1975) Three way loudspeaker
Description
This large loudspeaker was the largest Beovox model in the range. Expensive and complex, it was the ideal loudspeaker for a no-compromise system housed in a large room. Only a powerful amplifier, like the Beomaster 4000, could have made full use of it. Three drive units were used, a 10” woofer, a 2.25” dome midrange unit and a 0.75” dome tweeter. These “active” drive units were supplemented with an Auxiliary Bass Radiator, a large oblong “drone cone” that used the pressure variations in the cabinet to extend the lower bass response of the system.
