Description

The Mk.II version of Beovox S 35 looked exactly the same and the former version, only the badges showed the difference. The difference was that the S 35-2 was fitted with a new design of Philips bass driver employing a foam roll edge. This would have lead to a performance advantage, though it was only slight and could only have been appreciated in A/B listening tests. However, it did demonstrate B&O’s willingness to always use the best components and materials for their equipment, and to update designs as technology improved. Text copyright © Beocentral. Nowadays however, the advantage has swung the other way. The foam roll edges of the woofer in the S 35-2 can disintegrate with time, where as the original S 35 used solid rubber for this vital part, which to date has proved durable.
